As part of our advisory services, we assist when a client considers a potential acquisition as a means for financing a client’s growth. However, for all other acquisition issues we will refer an investment banker or other intermediary.

Does Timeline Advisers counsel companies in all industries?
Yes, but our strengths lie in: information technology (hardware, software, telecom, and semiconductors), service providers, and manufacturing.

Does Timeline Advisers have a geographic focus?
Yes, our firm currently serves the western half of the United States.

What is the Timeline Advisers’ review process?
Our Process is comprised of elements of review, comment, advice, and counseling related to the client’s fund-raising objective.

The initial part of the Process is designed to identify key issues, risks, business drivers, needs, opportunities and potential, and finally to determine if the story being told properly and effectively the investment opportunity for a prospective investor.

We collaborate with our clients to discuss, review, and question their plan and investment presentation to test management’s understanding of the key elements, assumptions, and factors pertaining to the enterprise and its prospects. This in turn lays the foundation for the overall review by Timeline Advisers.

Does Timeline Advisers write business plans?
No. Our firm reviews business plans as part of its counseling and advisory services. If necessary, we can recommend resources for writing business plans.

Does Timeline Advisers develop business strategies and perform the research and analysis for developing a strategy?
No. Our firm reviews what has been done by management and others. If necessary, we can recommend resources for strategic planning and research.

What are the deliverables from Timeline Advisers?
The client will receive immediate feedback during the course of a review and also a final written report and debriefing that will:

  • Recommend the amount of funding that should be sought and whether it should be staged;
  • Provide a critique and recommendations regarding the business plan, the client’s story, and investment presentation;
  • Recommend the type of investor a client should consider approaching (friends and family, angels, venture capitalists, private equity firms, industry strategic investors, venture lenders, traditional commercial banks, leasing companies, acquisition, or public offering);
  • Identify key issues, priorities, and risks that may be in addition to those on management’s list;
  • If appropriate, make recommendations pertaining to management and staffing needs;
  • If appropriate, make recommendations pertaining to strategy, matters of execution, and operations.


Will Timeline Advisers guarantee that a client will get funded?
No, we do not accept success fees. Maintaining objectivity is vitally important to our work and as such stock, options, or warrants are not accepted to protect our objective third opinion.

What is Timeline Advisers’ fee structure?
Timeline Advisers works with a fixed fee, which is based on a pre-determined set of objectives and deliverables as agreed upon in advance with the client.

Does Timeline Advisers offer a free consultation?
A preliminary consultation is available, free of charge, for the purpose of discussing (1) whether there is a fit between the prospective client and Timeline Advisers, (2) the scope of a prospective engagement, (3) clearly identified deliverables and expectations, and (3) a proposed fixed fee.
